My beads are inspired by the vastly different materials and textures of the world around us. They evoke both geologic and organic forms. Using metallic and cotton colorful threads, I embroider around pearls, semiprecious stones, crystals and found beads to create coherent surfaces that transcend the materials from which they are constructed. They are tightly bound together and extremely durable. Some beads are made with transferred or painted images and embroidered or patterned fabrics. Although often made from non-precious materials, my jewelry sells very well because there is nothing else like it. Each piece of jewelry is truly one of a kind.
